drawn animation

Drawn on animation is an animation technique where footage is produced by creating the images directly on filmstock, as opposed to cel animation where the images are created on separate sheets of plastic or paper before being photographed onto filmstock.

The most famous practictioner of drawn on film animation is Norman McLaren, who produced numerous animated films using this method, including Begone Dull Care.

Frame Rate
The term Frame rate applies equally well to computer graphics, videos and motion systems. Frames is often shown per second. When adding animation to an application the frame rate if it too high it can lead to processor problems especially when usind autoscript to create an animation.
